Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 4 - Speaking in a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Sunday at Peace Palace, Jean-David, a French diplomat who took part in the 1991 Paris Peace negotiations for Cambodia, admired Cambodian development on his visit to Phnom Penh.

“I had just arrived in Cambodia in 2016. Within just two years, I am surprised to see the growth in Cambodia, including economic and infrastructure development. The traffic congestion reflects that people can afford vehicles to ride,” said Jean-David, former France's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

He also expressed his pleasure to see Cambodia‘s development, peace, and stability.

2018 marks the 27th anniversary of the Paris Peace Accords, a formally titled Agreements on a Comprehensive Political Settlement of the Cambodia Conflict signed on 23 October 1991.

Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that King Father Norodom Sihanouk was the main actor playing significant role in the Peace Agreement.
