BEIJING, Oct. 25 (CGTN) -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has arrived in Beijing on Thursday afternoon for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

Abe's visit, scheduled from October 25 to 27, marks the first official visit to China by a Japanese prime minister in seven years.

Chinese leaders and Abe are expected to exchange views on improving and developing bilateral ties and on global and regional issues of common concern.
