Brussels, Belgium (FN), Oct. 20 – At the opening of the 12th Asia-Europe Summit in Brussels, Belgium on 19 October 2018, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, highlighted that Cambodia is delighted and welcomes the recent developments on the Korean Peninsula, in particular the three inter-Korean Summits and the US-DPRK Summit.

Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the historic summit was a huge leap of denuclearization and shed light on long-lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

“Journey to a complete nuclear disarmament is long and requires patience from the DPRK and the U.S. Cambodia believes that the two parties should work honestly together to increase mutual trust and confidence,” he continued.

Prime Minister appealed to all concerned parties to maintain restraint and continue to commit to peaceful and constructive dialogue in order to reduce tensions and achieve a goal of complete denuclearization.
