Geneva, Switzerland (FN), Oct. 17 - Gabriela Cuevas Barron, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), applauded the achievements that Cambodia has made, especially the successful results of the 2018 Cambodian elections which reflected genuine democracy.

The congratulation was conveyed when Khuon Sodary, second vice-president of Cambodian National Assembly, paid a courtesy call on Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

Sodary explained IPU president the electoral process and human right status in Cambodia which are contrary to the manipulated news deliberated by the ill-intended groups to devastate the growing kingdom with an annual economic growth of 7% per annum.

As recommended by Cambodian National Assembly president Heng Samrin, the President of the IPU was invited as the guest of honor to the 27th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Assembly to be held from April 14 to 17, 2019.
