Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 3 - Phnom Penh Municipal Court Judge, on Wednesday, sentenced a Lao national, Loun Sopha, 30, to life imprisonment and a fine of 50 million riels ($12,500) to the state budget.

Sopha was charged with trafficking 54 kilograms of methamphetamine committed on 18 May 2017.

On 16 August 2017, police arrested Sopha and two others related to this drug offense, including Oknha Sy Laloy, 43 (dead); and Thorng Vang who was released later.
