Siem Reap (FN), Oct. 1 - Within the first nine months of 2018, from January to September, over 1.9 million international tourists purchased Angkor tickets, an increase of 13% compared to the same period in 2017, generating over $85 million revenue according to Angkor Enterprise's report released on 1 October 2018.
Of the $85 million, the government allocated $3.8 million to donate to Kantha Bopha’s Children Hospital to continue operating free treatment.
The ticket to Angkor Park is categorized into 3 types: the ticket fee for a single day visit is $37; a 3-day pass costs $62 (valid for up to 10 days) and a 7-day park allowance is $72 (valid for up to 30 days.; $2 from each ticket sold to each foreigner will be donated to the hospital.
In 2017, Cambodia earned nearly $108 million from over 2.5 million tourists, and that $4 million donated to the Kantha Bopha Children's Hospital.
