Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 11 – Lu Xinshe, Communist Party Secretary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, granted $1 million worth of Jasmine Rice to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to assist flood victims during the premier’s visit to China for the 15th China-ASEAN Expo 2018.

Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to the government and people of Guangxi for this $1 million gift of rice. The rice will be granted to Cambodian Red Cross to distribute to Cambodian flood victims.

China-ASEAN Expo 2018 is held in Nanning, Guangxi from 12-15 September 2018 under the theme "Jointly building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the China-ASEAN community of innovation."

CAEXPO plays a significant role in promoting China-Cambodia exchanges and cooperation.

2018 marks 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-Cambodia diplomatic ties, 15th anniversary of the inauguration of CAEXPO, as well as the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN strategic partnership.
