PHNOM PENH, May 18 (FN) — Cambodia deported two female-New Zealanders on Wednesday for overstaying their visas, a senior immigration police official said.
Tangihaere Miriama Lizzie Ann and Pristow Andeehariata had been recently arrested in northwestern Siem Reap province for overstaying their visas, said Maj. Gen. Ouk Hai Seila, chief of the investigation and procedure department at the General Department of Immigration.
"The two women were expelled to their birth country through an Air Asia flight in Siem Reap province," he told FRESS NEWS.
Under Cambodia's immigration law, any alien living in the country without valid documents such as passports, visas, or work permits are subject to deportation.
