WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- A glider carrying three people crashed Wednesday in a mountainous region in the U.S. state of Vermont, local media reported.
The fate of the three people is yet to be known. Local police said the wreckage of the aircraft had been spotted, and search and rescue crew were working to reach the location.
The glider, according to the reports, took off from the Morrisville-Stowe State Airport shortly before noon, disconnected from the tow aircraft over Spruce Peak about 20 minutes later, and went missing two hours afterwards.
