Phnom Penh (FN), August 20 – President of the Supreme Council of the United Russia Party B.V. Gryzlov congratulated Cambodian People's Party (CPP) over the July's election victory, according to the letter addressed to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

"I wish to convey my sincere congratulations to You on the convincing victory of the Cambodian People’s Party in the recent elections to the National Assembly," B.V. Gryzlov wrote in the letter.

“Nowadays, Russian-Cambodian cooperation is marked by dynamic development in numerous areas of international and regional character.

In the official results of July's elections, the NEC said the CPP won 4,889,113 votes of the total 6,362,241 valid votes, taking all the 125 seats in the National Assembly.
