NEW YORK, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted 15km N of Golfito, Costa Rica at 23:22:25 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 19.1 km, was initially determined to be at 8.7723 degrees north latitude and 83.1393 degrees west longitude.
