Phnom Penh (FN), August 12 - Patrick Yap, Managing Director of Lush Foods Pte Ltd., based in Singapore, presented a project to invest in the best fish breeding in Cambodia and bring it to the international market.

The presentation was made during the courtesy call on Cambodian Minister of Environment Say Sam Al on Sunday at the ministry in Phnom Penh.

Patrick told that his project focuses on aquaculture on national species as well as endangered species breedings to contribute to effective conservation of biodiversity.

Say Sam Al supported the project and recommends that the company complies with national and international laws, especially the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), to improve the quality and efficiency of environmental sustainability in Cambodia.

CITES is a multilateral treaty to protect endangered plants and animals. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten the survival of the species in the wild, and it accords varying degrees of protection to more than 35,000 species of animals and plants.
