Phnom Penh (FN), August 10 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's Facebook account "Samdech Hun Sen, Cambodian Prime Minister" was retrieved at 1 p.m on Friday with assistance of Facebook company, according to interior ministry spokesman Kheiu Sopheak.
Hackers were based on foreign soil outside of Cambodia. Their purposes are to destroy national security and mislead the public on Cambodian elections, he added.
The premier's Facebook was hacked by an anonymous on 11 a.m on Friday, Doung Dara, premier's Facebook manager, confirmed to Fresh News earlier Friday.
During the two-hour controls, hackers posted information to mislead the public on National Assembly seats allocation, and deleted some information from the account.
