Phnom Penh (FN), July 29 - The 6th National Assembly members election kicked off on Sunday morning with only one day, starting from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Prime Minister Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party, voted in Takhmao, Kandal; Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly voted in Tbong Khmum; President of Senate, Say Chhum voted in Phnom Penh, Minister of Interior Sar Kheng voted in Battambang, and Defense Minister Tea Banh in Phnom Penh.
In total of 20 political parties race in this 2018 general election with 8,380,217 eligible voters registered to vote.
The 2018 parliamentary election has 22,967 polling stations nationwide. National Assembly seats in the sixth mandate rose to 125 compared to 123 in the fifth mandate election 2013.
