Phnom Penh (FN), July 23 - The National Election Committee (NEC) issued a result on figure of electoral observers for the general election 2018.

According to the NEC result released on 18 July, there will be 79,849 national observers, 18,203 females, from 20 political parties.

Among those observers, the majority of 45,948 are from CPP, followed by FUNCINPEC 16,734, and LDP 11,636.

National observers are witnesses of free, fair, and just election; they must submit a written report on their observations and conclusions on election process to the NEC at the end of the election.

Commune councilors, election candidates, village chiefs and their assistants and armed forces are not allowed to be observers.

Cambodia will hold her general election on 29 July 2018.
