Phnom Penh (FN), July 22 – As of June 2018, Cambodia has 19 million SIM cards mobile users, 12 million internet users, 6.8 million users, according to the official report by the Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia on Sunday.

The 19 million SIM-card mobile users is an equivalent of 116% of 16 million Cambodian total population, while Cambodian Facebook users as of today rose to 6.8 million compared to 4.8 million in 2013 and 1.2 million in 2013.

Currently, Cambodia has seven telecommunications operators, eight fixed-line operators, 34 Internet service providers, and 20 voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) operators.

Im Vutha, a member of the Telecom Regulator of Cambodia, said that the growth of the telecommunication sector in Cambodia has been driven by increased telecommunication services, 7% of Cambodia's annual economic growth for two decades, and the spread of knowledge on technology of Cambodian people.
