Phnom Penh (FN), July 22  - The Aljazeera's video documentation on Cambodia's current political situation which titled «Cambodia’s Election crackdown» earned applause from their fellow colleagues was meant to serve the propaganda of the Cambodia's former opposition.

It was political-motivated and unprofessional because the Aljazeera's journalists captured only a part of Kem Sokha's speech to his supporters in Australia in 2013 – showing only the part he had talked about peaceful and democratic change but not showing the main part where he had confessed he planned an US-backed «color» revolution and Phnom Penh regime change.

Cambodian people certainly knew that Kem Sokha «had been tabled» the plan with financial and technical support from USA including received the American and Canadian experts to overthrow the Cambodia's current legitimate government. However, this information was toke off from their documentation. The video which led to Kem Sokha's arrest and trial and his political party's dissolve can be found anywhere on the Internet and social media, and we, Cambodian people, could send Aljazeera one if they could not find it.

Cambodian people requested Aljazeera to «correct» and include in their documentation the part that Kem Sokha had confessed of committing treason. If they refused to do it, Cambodian people would assumed that Aljazeera, like some other media outlets, and their staff were only the opposition's «spokespersons». This would prove what Donald Trump accused of the international media, including the Aljazeera TV, for «exaggerating and faking news stories» to be true.

Kem Sokha, in the video clip in front of Cambodian oversea immigrants in Australia on September 1, 2013, said, «since 1993 when I was first elected as Member of Assembly, the U.S. Government invited me as the first Cambodian MA [guest]...» «It's a strategy used by the Democracy Power. They wanted me to follow the models used in Yugoslavia and Serbia where dictator Milosevic had been toppled. Milosevic had a lot of tanks, but the plan still got underway and succeeded,» he added in the clip.

«They brought this experience to me to follow in Cambodia, and no one knew it,» Kem Sokha continued in his speech. «For this strategy, just because we have reached this satisfactory stage, I let you know. We will successfully reach our destination if we keep on following it. It is not simple. I am not doing on my own. The U.S. has hired an expert professor from Washington University, Montreal, Canada, to consult me on the strategy to overthrow dictators in Cambodia. We follow the plan and strategy and if we fail, I have nothing to say,» he added.

With professionalism as a media outlet, local Cambodian media organization Fresh News as other medias have played a very important role in revealing the truth for Cambodian people so that they won't fall by exaggerated news produced by some foreign media outlets. Fresh News had covered the full and uncut video clip, in which Kem Sokha had admitted to committing treason. But local media was alleged unfairly as mouthpiece of the government.

The Aljazeera's video documentation has political-motivation rather than inform its audience. It is likely that the journalist who covered this story was hired by Berlin Rosen – a firm Sam Rainsy hired in a $250k deal to humiliate Cambodia – or someone powerful, because the video documentation was mainly focused on attacking, exaggerating, polluting and defaming Cambodia, while the Aljazeera's management board may not have any knowledge.

A former CIA agent said that it had become easier now to hire a journalist – rather than the whole media outlet – to cover fake news in a bid to incite social unrest and rebellion and this was what CIA was doing with some American and foreign journalists through providing them with monthly salary.

It is ridiculous that a professional journalist was hired to produce such a video documentation to confuse the public and humiliate Cambodians and Cambodia. Who was behind the video documentation?

If Aljazeera wants to get rid of what was accused, its journalist should accept their shortcomings in his or her professionalism and reveal the truth of Kem Sokha's treason rather than hide it for the sake of someone`s political interest.
