Phnom Penh (FN), July 19 – Flood attacked some polling stations in five provinces, including Koh Kong, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Takeo and Kampong Cham, according to Dim Sovannarom, spokesperson of the National Election Committee (NEC) on Thursday.

The spokesman added that six polling stations in Kompong Speu were affected.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology issued announcement on the effects of the 9th Tropical Storm Son Tinh that impacts Cambodia from 19 to 21 July 2018. The storm causes rain along the coastal areas, mountains, and some provinces at Cambodia-Vietnam border.

The Ministry has called for fishermen, maritime passengers and people living in low-lying areas to be cautious to avoid possible accidents.
