Phnom Penh (FN), July 9 – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) on Monday morning assisted 16 Cambodian nationals who have been cheated by brokers in illegal marriage and overwork in China, according to Chum Sounry, MoFAIC’s spokesman on 9 July.
The 16 victims are from Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kratie, Takeo, Battambang, Tbong Khmum, and Phnom Penh.
Cambodian embassy in China has provided accommodation and food, and assistance to prepare travel documents for the seven women to repatriate. The seven arrived Cambodia on 4-5 and 7 July 2018.
