(Phnom Penh): A senior Cambodian military official told Fresh News earlier that, as of nearly 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (Jul. 24), Cambodia’s brave and resilient armed forces had firmly secured the Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Krabei Temple, and the Emerald Triangle area, despite heavy assaults by Thai troops.
Following a full day of exchanges of fire, the commander confirmed that Cambodian forces had achieved full control, which is 100 per cent over the key sites. Cambodian troops successfully repelled Thai intruders, pushing them back from Cambodian territory and maintaining a strong frontline defense.
By 7:00 p.m., the situation along the border had largely calmed, although sporadic clashes persisted near Ta Moan Tauch Temple and a few other points. The Cambodian military remains firmly in control of the battlefield.
