(Preah Vihear): Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen warned to expose important information regarding the Thaksin's family, including Thaksin’s disrespectful remarks toward the Thai king, on 27 June 2025.
Samdech Techo spoke on Thursday Jo(Jun. 26) during his meeting with citizens who had fled from the tense Cambodia–Thailand border areas in Preah Vihear province.
Samdech Techo stated that he will deliver a message to both the Cambodian and Thai people, particularly those who value peace like Cambodians do, to inform them about Thaksin and his family.
The Senate president expressed his deep disappointment, noting that despite having supported Thaksin and his family in the past and having given him an opportunity to rise to the position of prime minister, the result has been serious tensions with Cambodia due to ongoing border issues.
"The political conflict in Bangkok has now shifted to the Cambodia–Thailand border. You must understand that Cambodia is not ignorant of your affairs. Tomorrow, I will expose everything to you. Even if you replace your deputy prime minister or interior minister, you still pass messages to me. Even your relatives, who have already betrayed you. Would you dare betray me as well? If you continue provoking, I will disclose everything you have ever said to me, including your insults toward your own king,” Samdech Techo underscored.
Samdech Techo clarified that, on a personal level, he owes Thaksin nothing. In fact, it is Thaksin’s family who are indebted to him.
He emphasised that this was not a demand for gratitude, but rather a call for a relationship founded on mutual respect.
He further noted that, if Thaksin receive and respond to the message, Samdech Techo would disclose all related information in full.
Samdech also expressed hope that Thailand would soon appoint a functioning prime minister, enabling cooperation with Cambodia to address the ongoing border issues, as he firmly believes that, like Cambodians, the Thai people long for peace.
