Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 1 – The Phnom Penh Municipal Court released a statement on Tuesday (Oct. 1) regarding the case of incitement to cause serious social unrest involving the accused, Mech Dara.

According to the court's statement, Mech Dara has confessed to the charges against him.

An official from the Ministry of Information confirmed to Fresh News that Mech Dara’s media credentials expired in 2022.

Mech Dara, 36, has been placed in pretrial detention on charges of “incitement to provoke serious social unrest,” stemming from a series of social media posts made in September.
