Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 18 – On 17 March 2024, the elections of the President of the Russian Federation took place in the polling station No. 8152, located on the territory of the Russian Embassy in Cambodia.

On that day from 8:00 to 20:00, the polling site opened its doors to Russian citizens, who wished to exercise their right to vote.

Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia Anatoly Borovik and his spouse were among the first to visit the polling station and cast a vote.

Officials of the Russian diplomatic mission, their family members, as well as Russian citizens permanently living and temporarily staying in the country, have implemented their electoral right.

In total, 170 Russian citizens voted at the site.

The voting process was held in regular, calm manner, with no misconduct reported.

Ambassador Anatoly Borovik praised the readiness of the Cambodian authorities to assist the diplomatic mission in ensuring safety and security on the election day, noting appreciation to the National Police that secured peace and order.
