Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 15 – In the past six months of the new Royal Government, 173 investment projects registered with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) with a total investment of USD 4,150 million, creating more than 170,000 jobs.

The premier spoke on Friday (Mar. 15) at the weekly plenary session at the Peace Palace.

"If you want concrete information on investment, you should check out the CDC. If you want to know information about trade volume, you need to check data from the Ministry of Commerce. If you want to know the influx of tourists in Cambodia, you check out the Ministry of Tourism.
You cannot just make a conclusion," the premier underscored.

"In the past six months from August 2023 to February 2024, we only think about the time when the new Royal Government was formed. What is the progress? The 173 new investment projects, worth USD 4,150 million, have been registered with the CDC, creating 177,000 jobs," the premier continued.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that the Royal Government is actively working to improve the investment climate and incentives to boost socio-economic activities and increase employment opportunities. In fact, Samdech Thipadei and a high-level delegation met and engaged with private sectors inside and outside the country.

Premier Hun Manet briefed that most foreign investors acknowledged the potential of Cambodia and were interested in investing in the kingdom.
