Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that while people frequently pray to angels for prosperity and success, it is teachers and doctors who genuinely help these celestial beings.

Samdech Thipadei regards the education and training provided by teachers, coupled with the medical care offered by doctors, as angelic missions that uphold lives and contribute to people’s success.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Feb. 22) during a winning ceremony for public service providers in education and health, held at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined that the health and well-being of people across the country have improved due to the expanded capabilities of doctors and health workers. This was evident during the challenging times of COVID19 when there was no one else to assist us. We took pride in it.

Premier Hun Manet underscored, “Tens of thousands of patients have received treatment, including hundreds of thousands of midwives assisting in childbirth. Thanks to doctors’ efforts, maternal and infant mortality rates remain low. In education, an increasing number of students are receiving training across the country.”

Samdech Thipadei continued, “Doctors and teachers perform angelic work. […] Practical means lie in the hands of doctors and teachers.”

In addition, Samdech Thipadei encouraged teachers and doctors nationwide to persist in this angelic mission for the continued growth of the nation.
