1. 5. Swedish prosecutors said they would drop their probe into explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines and hand evidence over to Germany. The multi-billion dollar pipelines transporting Russian gas to Germany were ruptured by a series of blasts in the Swedish and Danish economic zones in September 2022.

6. Toyota shares hit a record high after its earnings upgrade the prior day, with rivals Honda and Nissan also posting gains on expectations their hybrid lineups may benefit from cooling interest in EVs. Toyota's strong financial performance in Q3 was helped by robust demand for gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles.
