Kep (FN), Dec. 3 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised all local authorities in coastal provinces to tighten security measures at tourist destinations and prevent drugs, human trafficking, and transnational crime.

The premier spoke at the closing ceremony of the 10th Sea Festival, the 3rd round held on Sunday (Dec. 3) in Kep province.

"Local authorities, especially in tourist destinations, must remain vigilant to uphold security and order for tourists. I encourage the reinforcement of security at all tourist destinations. Let us not permit these tourist areas, including coastal regions, to become havens for drug users, human trafficking, and transnational crime," the premier emphasized.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also called on tourism operators to actively participate in the movement for a clean city, clean resort, good service, excellent hospitality, and a clean environment.
