Kampong Chhnang (FN), Nov. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced that the Royal Government of the 7th mandate will further invest in major infrastructure projects, including international airports, deep-sea ports, and roads, to foster economic growth.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (Nov. 22) during an inauguration for the official use of National Road No. 5 from Prek Kdam to Battambang and groundbreaking for the construction from Serei Sophorn to Poipet.

"Recently, we inaugurated the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport. By 2025, we plan to expand the Phnom Penh International Airport. In Sihanoukville, we are evaluating the potential use or expansion of our existing airport, a significant undertaking. Additionally, we are working on an airport in Mondulkiri to enhance connectivity,” the premier underlined.

Samdech Thipadei continued, “Therefore, the 7th mandate Royal Government is committed to promoting major investment projects through bonds arrangements and private sector investment credits. We will also utilize some credits to enhance infrastructure to foster national economic growth for the benefits of the people.”

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that the Royal Government has used loans for infrastructure development that serves economic purposes.
