Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet called on authorities and relevant ministries and institutions to tighten security measures and maintain public order during the upcoming Water Festival.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Nov. 21) during his 10th meeting with workers, held in Por Senchey district, Phnom Penh.

Samdech Thipadei underlined, "While the Water Festival draws participants from both provinces and Phnom Penh, ensuring the safety of the people is paramount. It's crucial to focus on security measures to safeguard everyone during the event.”

On the occasion, the premier also called on citizens nationwide to partake in the upcoming Water Festival as it will feature over 300 boats, along with 30 lanterns sponsored by various ministries and institutions.

It should be noted that the Water Festival is scheduled to take place from November 26 to 28, 2023.
