Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet instructed the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to monitor and evaluate the progress of the implementation of the 10-point measures in the private sector, speaking at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum, held on Monday (Nov. 13) at the Peace Palace.

On the occasion, the premier urged relevant ministries and institutions to implement the measures under their jurisdiction, which are organized with key indicators and clear time frames, with the utmost sense of responsibility.

The ten measures include:

1. Enhancing the business and investment environment
2. Streamlining compliance procedures
3. Facilitating business under customs jurisdiction
4. Promoting trade facilitation under customs jurisdiction
5. Boosting transportation infrastructure
6. Rehabilitating and promoting tourism development
7. Fostering agricultural and agro-industrial development
8. Promoting the banking sector's contribution to increasing private sector credit access while maintaining financial stability
9. Boosting development in the mining and energy sectors
10. Supporting the construction and real estate sectors.

"The Council for the Development of Cambodia must diligently monitor and assess the progress of the above measures and submit reports to the Royal Government every six months," Samdech Thipadei underscored.
