Sihanoukville (FN), Nov. 7 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet eyed a railway that enable the train to run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Nov. 7) during his meeting with more than 15,000 workers in Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province.

Samdech Thipadei stated, "In terms of freight rail, our current railway enables the train to run at only 50 kilometers per hour.”

In addition, Samdech also advised to study cost reduction for land transportation, and if this railway is completed, we will be able to transport more goods.

With a multi-trolley train with a length of 1 to 2 km, we will be able to increase freight contributing to boosting economic growth, the premier added.

In addition, Samdech Thipadei stated that the Royal Government will continue to build infrastructure as it helps to reduce transportation costs and boost the economy.
