Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 6 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet highly praised the new headquarters of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and considered it as a precious legacy of the sixth-mandate Royal Government, which was initiated by former minister of interior Sar Kheng and supported by Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The premier spoke on Monday (Nov. 6) at an inauguration of the Ministry of Interior’s new administration building in Phnom Penh.

On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined that, "while we are celebrating the inauguration of this new building, we cannot forget the achievements and legacies of the sixth-mandate Royal Government under the initiative of former minister of interior Sar Kheng, and with the massive support of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The premier added that the construction of architecture, infrastructure, and many achievements, including the strengthening of national security and public services in all areas is the basis for the seventh-mandate Royal Government to continue to protect and expand the construction to serve the people in the country.

Samdech Thipadei urged the leaders and all civil servants of the Ministry of Interior to be grateful and always remember the merits of the previous generation, especially to repay the gratitude by being committed to serving the people with high efficiency and professional ethics.

The new Ministry of Interior headquarters began construction in 2021 on a total area of 5.7 hectares.
