Siem Reap (FN), Nov. 4 – Local and international tourists are visiting Angkor Wat via the western causeway following official inauguration under the patronage of Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni on Saturday morning (Nov. 4).

Tourists and residents of Siem Reap express their joy in walking on the western causeway of Angkor Wat temple after a seven-year absence of repairs.

The western causeway of Angkor Wat temple began repair in 2016 under the cooperation between APSARA Authority, a Cambodian management authority responsible for protecting the Angkor Archaeological Park, and Japan's Sophia University.

After the official inauguration this Saturday morning, the western causeway is used as an entrance and the floating bridge is used as an exit.
