Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 24 – Deputy prime minister and first vice-president of the Council of the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol participated in a working discussion with the Financial Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC) on 23 October 2023.

The discussion focused on cooperation and investment in Cambodia by exploring issues related to agriculture, green finance and carbon credit.

FCSSC executive director Zhang Xiaowen expressed interest in the close Sino-Cambodian relationship as this year marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In addition to the event, she also mentioned the investment history of some members of the Center who are operating in Cambodia and some other members who are interested in Cambodia and has sent a team to onduct in-depth study on investment in Cambodia.

In this discussion, the deputy prime minister presented the vision of the Cambodian Royal Government and the recent developments of Cambodian policy and legal standards related to the areas raised by the meeting. In addition, he also reiterated Cambodia's economic potential, competitive investment and convenience for investors.

On the occasion, Sun Chanthol also highlighted that in order to ensure support for the transportation process, the Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to complete the construction of a number of infrastructure projects and many new modern projects that will serve the overall benefit of investors and Cambodia.
