Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 24 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet urged the directors of local hospitals, doctors, and health officials to pay high attention to detail during all treatment phases of patients regardless of their status or where they come from.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Oct. 24) during an inauguration ceremony of Techo Santepheap National Hospital, Phnom Penh.

"I urge the Ministry of Health, hospitals, health centers, and health posts at all levels nationwide to focus their attention on patients to enhance the quality of the provision of healthcare services. Particularly, we must ensure that public hospitals are the place that saves the lives of the citizens nationwide," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei mentioned that these tasks require a comprehensive plan, clear implementation measures, and mechanism for competent and effective implementation.

The 10,000-bed Techo Santepheap National Hospital is the largest in the country, located in Kob Srov Thom Village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.
