Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 24 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that human resources are very important for the development of the country.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Oct. 24) during an inauguration ceremony of Techo Santepheap National Hospital, Phnom Penh.

Samdech Thipadei underscored that good human resources must have both capabilities and health. The Royal Government, both the previous mandate and the current mandate, continue to prioritize human resource development, the premier added.

Samdech Thipadei continued, "human resources are very important. It is a factor that enables our nation to develop sustainably. They must have both good health and capabilities, and opportunities come when one is healthy. [...] Health guarantees productivity and capability. On the other hand, no income comes without health. Therefore, ensuring the healthy well-being of our people is very important."

The Royal Government of Cambodia has focused on human resource development and the Rectangular Strategy in the previous term also paid attention to the people, roads, water, and electricity. In this seventh mandate, people remain the first priority, so investing in health and education remains the top priority, the premier added.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet believed that the Techo Santepheap National Hospital will not only meet the needs of the people in Phnom Penh, but also the needs of citizens nationwide as well as foreigners.
