Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 23 – The recent Hamas attack on Israel's Gaza Strip sparked a new war that seemed to create an event to distract the world’s attention from the prolonging war in Ukraine, Cambodian political observer Mar Yarith said in a weekly Fresh Talk interview hosted by Fresh News.

"Currently, at least two wars happen at the same time [Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Hamas war]. The Hamas attack is likely to distract the worlds’ attention from the war in Ukraine. After the Hamas' surprise attack, Israel announced war against the Hamas,” Yarith underlined.

He continued that air strikes were reported daily. The Arab nations have imposed severe sanctions on Israel right after the strikes on hospitals in Gaza Strip.
