Riyadh (FN), Oct. 20 – Cambodia prime minister Hun Manet and Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, crown prince and prime minister of Saudi Arabia affirmed commitment to further strengthening and expanding bilateral relations between the two countries.

Samdech Thipadei held a working meeting with Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Friday (Oct. 20) in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the crown prince congratulated Samdech Thipadei on his recent appointment and informed about the potential direction for the promotion of Cambodia-Saudi relations and closer cooperation in a number of key areas, including trade, investment, energy and other potential areas, to achieve common interests for both countries and peoples.

In response, Samdech Thipadei congratulated Saudi Arabia on its success in hosting the first ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit and expressed satisfaction over the progress of bilateral relations between both countries, as reflected in the decision to establish the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Cambodia.

Through the talks, both prime ministers expressed their joint commitment to further strengthen and expand ties, agreeing on the direction of establishing a bilateral mechanism to discuss cooperation in a number of potential areas, such as trade, investment, and other sectors
