Riyadh (FN), Oct. 20 – Vietnamese prime minister Pham Minh Chinh supported Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet’s initiative on Cambodia-Laos-Viet Nam Trilateral Tourism Cooperation, based on the motto "Three Countries-One Destination", the Phnom Penh-Bavet and Bavet-Ho Chi Minh Expressway project and the railway connection.

Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet held a working meeting with Vietnamese prime minister Pham Minh Chinh on Friday (Oct. 20) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Pham Minh Chính once again congratulated Samdech Thipadei on his recent appointment and conveyed a greeting message to Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni, queen mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, and Samdech Techo Hun Sen. He also praised that under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei, Cambodia has achieved remarkable stability, and progress in all areas. He also underscored that Vietnam is preparing to receive the official visit of Cambodian prime minister to Vietnam in the near future.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his pleasure to meet with the Vietnamese prime minister for the fourth time after the last meeting at the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He also recalled the main outcome of the meeting with the Vietnamese prime minister during the Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing recently, especially the negotiations on the Phnom Penh-Bavet-Ho Chi Minh Expressway which will facilitate trade and tourism exchanges.

As a result, both leaders praised the progress of bilateral cooperation in all fields and at all levels. The Vietnamese prime minister expressed his support for Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s initiative on the trilateral toursim cooperation, the expressway project and the railway connection. In addition, both leaders also agreed to strengthen and expand cooperation in a number of key areas, including defense, security, and law enforcement.
