Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 11 – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, chairman of the Supreme Privy Council of the King and also the president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), and chairman of the Nippon Foundation Yohei Sasakawa expressed their intention to Visit Myanmar in the near future.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen received a courtesy call from Yohei Sasakawa on Wednesday (Oct. 11) at the CPP headquarters.

Yohei Sasakawa praised the leadership capacity of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, which has transformed Cambodia from a war country to a full peace and rapidly developed country.

Taking this occasion, the Japanese chairman asked Samdech Techo to share all the achievements and experiences of his leadership. Thus, the chairman can compile a document of Samdech Techo's leadership to read and take as a life lesson.

Both sides also discussed the Myanmar crisis, including the efforts of Samdech Techo, who wants to improve the situation in Myanmar. Overall, the Japanese side expressed high appreciation for the capacity of Samdech Techo as a key player who can provide better conditions to Myanmar because Cambodia used to experience it in the past. Samdech Techo has transformed those issues and brought peace to the Kingdom.

Lastly, both sides agreed and intended to visit Myanmar in the future.
