Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 23 – Cambodian minister of education, youth and sports Hang Chuon Naron said that ceremony for iYunnan Talent Contest to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the establishment Cambodia-China diplomatic ties contributed to cultural exchanges and strengthening cooperation between the two peoples.

The attendees were Cambodian minister of education, youth and sports Hang Chuon Naron, member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Committee and minister of Propaganda Department Zeng Yan, Charge d'Affaires and minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia Chang Jian, president of Cambodia-China Friendship Association Ek Sam Ol, state secretary of the Ministry of Information of Cambodia Kem Gunawadh, state secretary of the Cambodian Ministry of Information Chhean Leang, vice president of Cambodia-China Friendship Association Nak Oknha Chan Sothea, under secretary of state of Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Kann Virak.

"Cambodia and China are iron friends. Under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries, Cambodia-China friendship will continue to glow with new vitality. Recently, Samdecg Thipadei Hun Manet visited China for the first time after taking office, which reflects Cambodia's firm pursuit of friendly policies towards China. Cambodia is willing to work with China to jointly promote the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Cambodia in the new era and create a model for building a community with a shared future for mankind," Minister Hang Chuon Naron underscored.

Zeng Yan underlined the Achievements Release Ceremony for iYunnan Talent Contest in Cambodia, receiving enthusiastic response and active participation from all walks of life in Cambodia. The entries make people feel a strong sense of China and Yunnan, fully reflecting the deep friendship between the people of China and Cambodia and between Yunnan and Cambodia.

Zeng Yan hoped that both Yunnan and Cambodia will jointly build more exchange platforms like "iYunnan", tell the story of mutual support and shared weal and woe between the two peoples, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, and continuously contribute to the construction of high-quality, high-level to the standard of China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era adds luster.

Ek Sam Ol mentioned that Cambodia and China are good neighbors and true friends who know each other well. Yunnan Province is adjacent to ASEAN countries including Cambodia and has a long history of people-to-people friendship. The "iYunnan" Talent Contest in Cambodia has further enhanced the relationship between Cambodia and China.

"The understanding and mutual trust between the two peoples have injected new vitality into the traditional friendly relations between the two countries. The future of Cambodia-China friendship depends on the younger generation.
