Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 22 – Japanese prime minister Kishida Fumio sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet on his recent appointment, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Aug. 22).

“Cambodia and Japan have built strong friendly relations and cooperation through cooperation for peace, reconstruction and development of Cambodia over the years. In recent years, not only have our economic ties been strengthened, but cooperation in new areas such as digital security and telecommunications has also grown.

I intend to work with His Excellency to further promote bilateral relations and cooperation in the regional and international arena, as well as to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperate with many stakeholders in Cambodia to contribute to the democratic development of Cambodia as well.

I look forward to welcoming you at the ASEAN-Japan Special Summit in December this year.
