Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 10 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, also the president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), considered drug issue as a major challenge for Cambodian society. In this regard, Samdech advised the members of the new cabinet to focus on combating and cracking down on drug trafficking.

The premier spoke during a meeting with members of the Royal Government in the old mandate and members of the new cabinet for the 7th mandate on Thursday at the CPP headquarters.

In order to effectively crack down on drug trafficking, Samdech recommended the reform of the National Authority for Combating Drugs and other relevant institutions.

On the occasion, Samdech added that if the fight against drugs is successful, it will be a great achievement that reflects the capability of the new cabinet.
