Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his gratitude and praised the National Organizing Committee of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, ASEAN Para Sports Federation, and all delegations, including Timor-Leste, for jointly promoting the values of the para athletes and fully supporting the Games in Cambodia.

The premier spoke during the closing ceremony of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, held on Friday evening (Jun 9) at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

"I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the National Organizing Committee of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, ASEAN Para Sports Federation, and all delegations, including Timor-Leste, for jointly promoting the values of the para athletes and fully supporting the Games in Cambodia," the premier underscored.

The 12th ASEAN Para Games was held from 3-9 June 2023. Cambodian para athletes won 70 medals, including nine gold medals, 18 silver medals, and 43 bronze medals.
