Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen further called on citizens to go to vote on 23 July to maintain peace, stability, and development.

The premier spoke on Wednesday morning (June 7) at the groundbreaking ceremony for Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway.

"I hope that citizens will go to vote on 23 July 2023. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank citizens who voted for the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) in 2022,” the premier underlined.

"From now until the election day, please keep calm and maintain a neutral political environment for the election. Security and social order are guaranteed. The election process must be peaceful, non-violent, democratic and respectful to citizens' rights. The National Election Committee (NEC) shall take legal action against those who hinder the exercise of citizens' rights," the premier added.

On the occasion, Samdech sincerely hoped the people will continue to vote for the CPP’s No. 18 on the ballot paper.
