Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced to set 30 June 2023 to inaugurate Ring Road 3, speaking on Wednesday morning (June 7) at the groundbreaking ceremony for Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway.

In terms of lengths, the road is nearly 53 kilometers long, connecting Phnom Penh and Kandal provinces. The project is estimated to cost nearly USD 300 million.

On that occasion, the premier underlined that Cambodia has no hesitation in supporting development. Therefore, the Belt and Road Initiative has not hindered the development of any country.

In addition, Samdech emphasized that the Chinese government has always respected Cambodia's decision on infrastructure development. China is a respectable lender, who never orders Cambodia to do anything with the loans.

Ring Road No.3 is an essential strategic route to facilitate traffic and freight trade, which benefits the national economy.
