Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he was fortunate to have two economic ministers who are not a spendthrift, speaking on Wednesday (June 7) at the groundbreaking ceremony for Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway.

Premier Hun Sen stated, "I am a very lucky person because I have two finance ministers who are not a spendthrift but know how to save money."

Samdech continued, because of their great financial management, the Royal Government dared to withdraw more than USD 232 million to build a bridge across the Lower Mekong River.

We save money to invest in ourselves and without the contribution of the national budget, a loan or an assistance from a friendly country alone will not make these projects possible, the premier underlined.

"I am fortunate that deputy prime minister Keat Chhon and deputy prime minister Aun Porn Moniroth know how to save money,” the premier added.

It should be noted that Keat Chhon became minister of Economy and Finance from 2004 to 2008 and since 2008, he has been the deputy prime minister for the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
