Phnom Penh (FN), May 31 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen underlined that he did not want people to pay money to cross Prek Pnov Bridge, so the Royal Government decided to purchase the bridge.

The premier spoke at an inauguration of a bridge across the Tonle Sap and Russey Keo flyover, held on Wednesday morning (May 31) at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

Premier Hun Sen stated, "I do not want people to pay whenever they need to cross the bridge, so the government bought Prek Pnov bridge and put it under our control, so that people can cross it as many times as they want.”

According to the premier, three more bridges will be built across the river in Phnom Penh, including Cambodia-Korea Friendship Bridge, Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Bridge and Bassac River Bridge connecting Prek Pra to Chak Angre.

Samdech added that everything lives under peace. More than 30 years ago, Phnom Penh did not expect to grow as rapid it does today.

On that occasion, Samdech considered the allocation of the national budget to build infrastructures the "equitable economic development".
