Phnom Penh (FN), May 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and nearly 17 million Cambodians believed in the efforts of the national team in the upcoming 12th ASEAN Para Games.

The premier spoke during his meeting with the ASEAN Para Games delegation on Friday afternoon at the Peace Palace.

In addition, the premier hoped that the ASEAN Para Games that Cambodia is hosting will get good results in the spirit of competition, success and well-behaved gestures for the sake of the nation’s reputation.

Premier Hun Sen said, "those who have won gold medals must continue to attain them. Those who have won silver or bronze medals must strive to win gold medals, and those who have never won medals should strive to win medals."

"Do not forget that we are the host and this game represents nearly 17 million of our people. Therefore, we must accept the result whether losing or winning,” the premier added.

On that occasion, the premier expressed high hope for the Cambodian athletes, and encouraged the national athletes to work hard for the games and strictly adhere to the rules of the game.
