Phnom Penh (FN), May 3 – Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn presided over the 3rd Consultative Meeting between the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and Foreign Non-governmental Organizations (FNGOs) organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the Ministry.

"Approximately 300 participants including senior officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, line ministries, heads and representatives of Foreign NGOs, attended this consultative meeting. The main objective of the consultative meeting is to raise awareness on the obligations of the Associations and NGOs under the Law on Accounting and Auditing including on: 1) accounting obligations; 2) preparation of financial statement in accordance with Cambodia's accounting standards; and 3) Submission of financial statements for independent audits in order to ensure accountability, transparency and efficiency of foreign NGOs," according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (May 3).
